Saint Onofrio in Serramonacesca
It dates back to the XI-XIV century ( a flourishing age for religious life on the Majella massif) and it refers to St Liberatore on Majella, an interesting and valuable Abbey lying not so far from St Onofrio Hermitage.
Like all Celestinian hermitages this one also exploits the environmental resources, e.g. natural hollows, rocky faces, entries leading to unimaginable places: in one of these places you can see the Saint's footprints on stone steps.
