The
Airport of Ancona Falconara is called after
the great Renaissance painter Raffaello
Sanzio, coming from the neighbouring city
of Urbino. Raffaello Sanzio Airport is situated
in central Italy in strategic position:
indeed, you can get to it through the railway
station and the port of Ancona, the railway
station and goods yard of Falconara and
the new Interporto. In addition it is linked
to the motorways to Rome, Milan and Bari
by a viaduct.
The Airport of Ancona Falconara is run by
Aerdorica S.p.A., which has been founded
by local Authorities and by a group of leading
concerns of Marche. The Company’s
purpose is to increase the development of
airport infrastructures in order to ensure
safe, efficient and high-quality services
for the passengers and goods traffic. |
