Nettuno Cave
Nettuno Cave is on Cape Caccia; it is only 24
Km far from Alghero. You can get to Nettuno
Cave following two main routes:
1) by land: you can get to Cape Caccia promontory
through a stairway built on the cliffs (a drop
of 110 metres), thus reaching the cave's entrance.
2) By sea: you can get to Cape Caccia by boat
- the journey takes about 50 minutes - and have
the opportunity of admiring the picturesque
Coral Riviera.

Nettuno Cave's entrance
is quite wide: the boats carrying tourists
berth just there. The cave's surfaces are
green-blue. That kind of colour is due to
vegetable deposits.
At Cape Caccia you can also visit the
following caves:
Grotta Verde
or dell'Altare (Green or Altar Cave):
its stalagmite are covered with vegetables,
so they are green;
Grotta dei Ricami (Embroideries
Cave): it is famous for its white stalactite
twining like laces.
