Trulli
- In 1996 the Trulli of Valle d'Itria and
above all those ones of Alberobello, well-known
all over the world, were declared "humanity
world property" by UNESCO.
~ Castel
del Monte - well-known for its
octagonal shape, is one of the main attractions
of Apulia. The castle, built by order of
Emperor Federico II in 1240, is about 16
Km far from Andria and it dominates the
lands below in the sunny setting of Murgia.
~ Isole
Tremiti - It is a group of volcanic
islands, whose name was "
Diomedee"
in honour of Diomede, the Greek hero who,
according to a legend, would have died there
on his way back after the Troy war.
~ Grotta
Bianca - Castellana Caves were
discovered in 1938. Together with Ostuni
and Alberobello they are one of the main
attractions for tourists in Apulia.
